This lot is a Plantation AA coffee from India. This means that the green beans are exposed to humid monsoon winds. The “monsoon-ripened” coffees are stored in special warehouses until the monsoon season begins. The sides of these warehouses are opened so that the moist monsoon winds flow around the coffee, causing it to swell and giving it a softened but intense and musty aroma and taste.
A typical Indian coffee with nutty and chocolaty notes. Perfect for fully automatic machines or portafilters. After harvesting, they are washed and further processed. The AA Karnataka has fairly large beans, which later develop a strong and spicy character in the cup. We taste warm notes of hazelnut and almond, but also sweet raisin.
