Alto Cielo #1 comes from the farm of Luz Andrea Cabrera López in La Pradera, Gigante, Huila, where coffee has been grown with care since 1998. Situated at 1,805 m a.s.l., the 1.8-hectare farm is fully dedicated to coffee and run by the third generation of the Cabrera family. This lot is a natural-processed Variedad Colombia, produced in small volumes with a strong focus on quality. All cherries are hand-picked, carefully floated, fermented for 72 hours, and slowly dried under shade, resulting in a clean yet expressive cup. In the cup, Alto Cielo #1 is vibrant and juicy, led by tropical fruit punch notes layered with a rich panela sweetness. The profile is expressive and process-driven, offering a winey character with depth and balance. With a cupping score of 87, this coffee showcases both the potential of the Gigante terroir and the meticulous work of Andrea Cabrera and her family, supported by the Coocentral cooperative’s long-term commitment to quality and farmer wellbeing.
